Korean SE 245 - Yay or Nay

Have had it for a week or so. Better fretwork than my S2’s. Now I have to do fret levels on my S2’s. Still adjusting to the wide/thick neck. It plays very well. Has a more durable finish than my S2’s. The guitar looks great. I am very much ok with poly. The pickups are its shortcoming. Most seem to love them though. Could be just me.

I have complained a little about the finish on my S2’s a bit, but the pattern regular neck profile just fits me perfectly. Also just bought another. An S2 Standard 22 Satin recently, so there’s that. Also play them more than any of my other guitars. Compared one I own in playability to a DG one day. The S2 did not disappoint.

Mine had great distortion tone and really mediocre clean tone. I didn’t bond. I did use it for theater work for two years. It had incredible intonation and a very neutral tone palette. In retrospect, I could have changed the pickups. Duh.
