Hi guys,
I recently picked up a Ted McCarty DC245 with soapbar pickups. I got it used, and I have to say it was pretty filthy. After a THOROUGH cleaning, fret polishing, and liberal application of Fret Doctor, she seems a hundred times better.
My question concerns the finish. I seem to remember that the Ted series had nitro, but I've seen a couple online ads that say V12. Do any of you remember which finish the Teds have? I was planning on putting this one on a guitar stand, and was afraid the rubber padding would react if the finish is nitro.
