What I really want to do is sit down and spec out my own Private Stock, I'd never play a Dragon

Specing your own private stock is something you have to do, but it can be addictive.

My Dragon is too good a guitar not to play. Besides, if I didn't play it, that would make me a collector and I know that is a bad investment.

Hire employees to do the day to day and you make the money decisions, a good friend of mine had several business that he was a quasi silent partner in.
When he passed away his wife was over whelmed with the fact that even though he was not there day to day, the business ran very well.
She being a music teacher kept the music store but sold off her interests in the other businesses.
