My girlfriend bought tickets for this concert tonight at the Fillmore East in Silver Spring MD. I get to watch one of my all time favorite metal guitarsist ( great jazz guy too ) Alex Skolnick.

Testament may be the forefathers of early thrash but don't be fooled, they have progressed with the times more than any other band out there! The newest record is one of the heaviest things ever. Alex Skolnick is an absolute BEAST and Gene Hoglan on drums is just a blast (literally).

Have fun!

Testament - The Gathering is still one of my favorite records of all time.

Anything they put out is still an immediate purchase for me.

Chuck Billy rules!

The thrash era of the 80's is my favorite. Alex Skolnick is sick!!! Enjoy the show man!

Well the concert was awesome as expected and they definately haven't lost a step.

Iphone pics aren't the greatest but they will do. Skolnick was on fire and I was there to see it

Hahaha Chuck Billy rules! Seriously one of my favorite vocalists. His growls are so mean and so clear.

I have a Chuck Billy pick! Caught it at Testament show at the Limelight in NYC. I figured the other guys were tired of Chuck throwing out their picks and bought him a few bags.
How was Overkill? My old band opened a few shows for them back in the late 80's early 90's.

Overkill was great. It had been many years since I had seen them and I was really impressed because they put on a killer show and very tight. I played in a band that had opened for Testament a couple years ago in Virginia. Great show
