Early CE 24 machine head replacement

The originals are gone on this old CE 24 ( 89 ) . I need to put a working set of tuners for it . Not sure if it needs to be locking . What is recommended for an old CE 24 - Hipshot ? mini M6 ? Grover ?

You could replace with the NOS version of the original. Kinda pricey, though. Otherwise, I know several guys have used Hipshot on their SE and S2 guitars.

Do you know what model hipshot would work on a 89 CE 24 ?

If it has the shared screw D and G you can put phase 2 tuners on it. The only mod needed is to drill a tiny hole for the screw but since it's an 89 you may not want to drill.
