Disaster!

Very sorry.
Lesson learned is: let's stop using those f...ing wall hangers!
It is not the first and will not be the last.
Better quit using guitar stand or holders of any sort, then. I’ve had more damage from people walking into/kicking/bumping guitars at floor level than anywhere else. It’s either up on the wall with a properly mounted String Swing holder, or in the case. And I hate leaving all my guitars in the case, because I always end up playing the one that’s out and no others.

It ain’t the wall hangers, at least the “one per guitar” kind. But, they’re your guitars, store ‘‘em how you like!

5am. This whole rack pulled out of the brick…

Four damaged PRS. Including one that doesn’t belong to me.

Gutted.

That just breaks my heart.
I sure hope insurance will cover the damage.

Damn, sorry to see that.
I guess the only positive thing I could say is that the worst is now over, a couple of chips and dings isn't going to hurt the sound any. I can understand how hard it must be especially as one of them didn't belong to you. But just do what I do, and consider them love bumps. Now go play the snot out of them.
I think we always cringe at the memory of the first scratch or ding. (I’m like that with a car too) But after that, I seem to feel a bit more at home with it. (But every time I see the scratch or ding…)

So sorry man. That’s rough. Hope everything gets worked out. Just remember, as much as we adore them, they are only guitars. Tools and/or art to bring us happiness. Assuming there’s no structural damage, they will still sound the same. Do whatever you need to though to keep them bringing you joy.

Edit: just to make you feel better(or at least not alone). From a fall off a pool table to concrete floor.

Ouch!

As someone who has to connect structural steel to brick, sometimes 100 year old multilayer brick walls, my advice is never connect to brick unless you have no other choice. When we do it, its usually with many inches long threaded rods in structural grade 2 part epoxy. Other than that, you should use no less than a 3/8" diameter metal "sleeve anchor". Not one of these smaller screws in a plastic insert. Those can be ok for concrete but brick needs a bit more, especially older brick that is of unknown quality. Oh, and always be careful to get your anchors into the center of the bricks and not the mortar joints. That's a common mistake that leads to disaster. But, even when done properly, just be mindful that it's not hard to remove the brick itself from the wall sometimes. Just always better to avoid.
