Crackling noise tone knob

New guitar, 2 weeks, santana se, got a crackling noise in the tone knob when i adjust it. Sprayed electrical contact cleaner into that hole above the 3 prongs, didn't do any good. Checked wire leads, all look connected. Turn it back and forth like one hundred times, no joy. I bought it from sweetwater, sure hope i don't end up msilng it back. Could cause other issues since i didn't keep the outside box and packing materials.

If it just needs a tone knob, maybe see if there's a PRS warranty dealer near you that can just swap the pots...?

Guitar center down the road. They carry PRS guitars. Maybe Sweetwater can have them fix it. It's crackling while you play and turn it. I don't understand how this got missed.

I doubt it was missed. Pots, like tubes, and light bulbs, can go bad at the drop of a hat. No way to foresee it.
