Bridge not floating - neck shim?

I have a CE24 I adore - who doesn't right?
The action is factory standard but only when the bridge is flush against the body.
If I make the bridge height factory standard 1/16 off the body my action will be too high.

Seems like a neck shim is needed to raise the neck with acceptable action inline with the bridge being 1/16 off the body?

I have the same problem in the thread below. Its ok(ish) as long as I lower the front end of the trem a little. Not exactly perfect though.

Yeah but this is like a flaw from the factory no?
I mean it's fixable but oh well.

Can we get some pictures? May I ask what year it is? There should not be a need to shim the neck of a CE unless something really is wrong. If you could give us some more info I'm sure we will do our best to help you out.
