Anyone using non-locking tuners with a trem?

Hi,

I recently got a used CE22 and it came with Sperzels that aren't working well. The only drop in options are the Schaller M6 standard and Top-Locking. The Top-locking are pricey and look huge in the pics so i'm considering the standard M6.

You could get some Phase 2's

My guitar has the shared G&D string tuner screw on the back....not sure Phase II will fit.

What's the issue? I have three PRSi with non-locking machine heads and trems without a problem.

(I also have two non-PRS guitars with trems and standard tuners without problems)

I also have two SE's with factory non-locking tuners and no tuning problems.

Check the nut binding. I`d be very surprised if it were the tuners.
Also check the trem setup.

Indeed, try lubing the nut using an HB pencil by slacking the strings off a touch and slapping some graphite in the slots. If that sorts out the problem you can take it from there.
