The UPS man brought my new Fire Red Burst to my house yesterday afternoon. It's gorgeous! It sounds good, looks good, and is everything I was anticipating it to be. It do believe it will be my No. 1 guitar. I'd post a pic or two, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Okay folks, I received a call from my dealer this morning. The special semi-hollow I ordered in July shipped from the PRS factory today. It looks like I'll have it in hand in less than two weeks! It was a surprise call, but a very happy call.

I vote for #2 in conjunction with #1. A bit of face to face interaction can be very valuable in not forming bad habits or tightening up skills. Youtube videos are also good, but they can't serve as a holistic source of learning.

One thing I haven't seen discussed anywhere is how the Silver Sky neck compares to JM's Fender signature guitar series neck. Does anyone know?

Thanks for your feedback. I'm in the US and ordered from a store in Seattle, WA. I would have thought I would have gotten mine by now. That being said, I don't live in Seattle. I live in Alaska and will be down there next week, so I plan an in-person visit to ask what's going on. I suppose...

I'll jump in now. I pre-ordered a tungsten Silver Sky on the day they released to the public for pre-ordering and I'm still waiting. Is anyone else in the same boat? Just wondering.
