Talk me out of routing my 305 for bridge humbucker

So now I've messured properly with the pickup rings provided by Seymour Duncan when you buy a trembucker. The 305 pickup is 88mm and the route for it is a about 1mm bigger. The ring is 90.5mm so it will just cover the rout :) The rout is a little bit beveled on the edge (due to laquer I guess?)...

Yes I also love maple necks and yes, got it at Deluxe. One more 305 (or a 513) pickup would actually be pretty cool. I have a question abot the PRS 513. I've searched the net but haven't found any wiring scematic for that one. How is it wired? Does it use 500k pot in humbucker mode and...

It might just work without plugging the edges. I have not seen the picks from The Raven but when I messure with pickup rings that came with some other trembucker I bought it sure seems that way. But it is wery close :)

I've built a few guitars from bare wood in the past so I would do it myself. I have the tools and I would build some kind of home made jig for the router. Yes the value will off course drop, but then again it already did as soon as walked out of the store. So I know I'll never get my $$$ back...

That's a beuty :) I'm sure I don't have the cash for a PS. I really don't hava a clue on what the prise would be but I'm sure it's cheaper to rout it myself.

Sorry guys but Duncan hotrails or any other of the single coil sized humbuckers just don't do it for me. I know the wise thing is to keep it stock and buy another guitar for the humbucker sounds. But I'm not a wise guy since I'm allready thinking about it am I?

Yeah I was thinking of that aswell. But since the pickup is angled it might just cover it, I need to do some mesurements to be sure though...

Thanks for the comments dudes! Rusty Chos - The position 2 is a sound that I use a lot so I need that to. But it is nothing like a full bridge humbucker. Wardog - Well, the studio is 25" scale and I want 25.5". It also has the 5-way switch in the "wrong" place as said before. Justmund - That...

I coul'd try that! But there are also the hum with single coils that are sort of annoing... I play live for a living and a lot of the stages we play are a bit noisy and the midrange boost would just make it even more sensitive...

So I've had my 305 for a few month now and I love it! Allmost all of my other guitars (Fender Strats, Teles, Gibson Les Pauls and Music Man Axis) are now sold due to this beuty :) I don't think I'll ever go there again... I just miss the Humbucker in the bridge from my HSS strats. The stock...
