Nice write up. I'm old, 75, We didh't have modelers back in the day. My heroes all used tube amps.. I still use tube amps.
Just because something is new does not make that something better than what it's attempting to replace.
If you think other wise try persuading a Stradivarius violin player...
You are talking about 1/4 inch in over all length. I have a 594 and I really like the scale length. I also have an older McCarty with a 25" scale length.
I don't really notice much, if any, difference between the two necks when I play.
I too am looking at a Hollowbody II Piezo. Can only get it...
I found one on on line but it says heavy nail damage to the fret board. Last I asked a new fret board was a $600 job but that was some years ago.
Would that be a concern the damage I mean.
I play clean more often than I play distorted I do have a 594 SC for doing distorted. The HBII is a relatively light guitar which apples to me as well. I think th 59/15 pickups would sound sweet with a semi hollow guitar.
Congrats!
QUESTION? Will the HBII sound that much different from my SC 594? Enough so that I should want to get one? I currently dont have axxess to a HBii to decide for myself. TIA!
