Problem is sometimes a trem guitar comes along that it so rare, exotic or beautiful. What's a man to do?
I have a few Trem equipped ones and I still don't use the bar. I keep saying I'll learn how to use it when I get ready. Guess I'm just not ready. I still like the trem as I like the feel while palm muting.I have never "whammied" & would like to see PRS make 24 fret guitars with a stop tail.
I have never "whammied"
he feel of a stop tail versus a trem is superior, the tone is better, and tuning is so much easier.
I agree, he feel of a stop tail versus a trem is superior, the tone is better, and tuning is so much easier.
I'd go so far as to say the feel of a stop tail is different, and the tone is different...but not better.
I like stop tails. And I like trem-equipped guitars. A trem equipped guitar tends to have a slightly softer feel, especially on bends, and there's a resonance caused by the springs and trem cavity that's pretty nice if you have the...uh...taste for it.
Ok ok here is a test. 90% of you whammy in your man cave 10% whistle. What song does the 10% whistle?
"Hand Jive"?
LOL!!!!"Hand Jive"?
Oh man, I'm old enough, but I had such a sheltered childhood...."Hand Jive"?
