If you look closely, it stands for Works for Electric Effective Development -- sounds so awkward, I almost wonder if they called it weed first, and came up with the acronym after the fact. Or maybe it's a translation thing.

Yeah, except I don't partake (can't afford it because of the guitar and pedal habit -- also, I'm an adult now...and have been since about 1986), so that's no help whatsoever.

(I grew up in the 70's, though, so I don't mind hearing it joked about and will joke about it myself.)

Seems this guy didn't mind neither -- he has a subline called "Stoner's Effects" -- link.

Anyway, I ordered one, we shall see.
