I love when this happens.
One of my favorite singers and session players, who has played acoustic guitar on many of my tracks, came by the other day for a vocal session for an ad. Afterward, we started talking about guitars, and tone. So I decided to pull out the PRS acoustic and let her hear how it sounded.
"I've never even heard of one of those," she said a little dismissively before I pulled the guitar out of its case.
"Wow, that's really pretty," said she.
I played a few things. The tone of the guitar filled the room. "What do you think?" I asked.
"Oh my god, that's amazing. It's so clear and articulate! But it sounds big and rich, too. Wow. I can't believe I haven't heard about these!"
"You need to get out more," I said.
