Custom 24 or custom 22

I play 80s/classic metal. I use 22 fret PRS guitars. I use PRS 57/08, #7, Dragon II, and TCI pickups. I use Bad Cat amps. I sound like the Scorpions, lol.

I love the 24 fret CE24 with 85/15 pickups. I'm not a big fan of the custom 24. I'm guessing it is because I was playing 24 fret Jackson's before going PRS. Those had a 25.5 scale, so the CU24 always feels weird to me. But, PRS' 22 fret felt perfect right away.

Depends on which neck shape you want !!! Most CU22 have Pattern or Pattern thin Most CU24s have Pattern Regular or pattern Thin

I am going with the 22. Maybe if I ever get another one it will be a 24.

Do you prefer a “boomy” neck pickup (22) or a “snappy” neck pickup (24)?

That’s overstating the effect, but that’s basically the difference between the two. (Others would say darker vs brighter neck pickup)
