Vibrato Bridge Evolution

Can someone explain the difference from the first to the current vibrato bridges and also let me know your favorite?

I tried doing several searches, but I couldn’t find much info. From my understanding, the first version was invented by John Mann and the bridge base plate and string block were cast as one piece. Later, the string block was separate and attached with screws similar to the Fender Strat bridge.

This first version lasted until the early 2000’s .

And just to give you a shameless plug... I purchased your brass one piece trem (2000NOS, I believe) and put it on the 2019 MIK SE CU24 and it has treated me very well, and was worth the $$$. Thanks for doing what you do!
