Does anyone have pics or dimensions of the v-neck that he has on his Vela?
I was watching his rig rundown on Premier Guitar and he was mentioning it, but they didn't show it...
I've never played a v shaped neck before and I was wondering what it was like!
What's it best for? Chording or soloing?
V neck users: enlighten me, please!

Edit: I spelled his name wrong in the title and I can't fix it! My apologies!

I'm not a V neck user, but the Reid Vela neck carve has very little to no taper on it. It's like an extruded neck with a single profile. As per Reid's spec.

To me a V takes a little getting used to. But it lets you hang your thumb on the back of the neck on top of the centerline, rather than wrapping it over the edge of the fretboard.

Yep, Clapton strat has a soft v neck. I had a 57 Reissue strat that had a v neck too. Those were the only two strats I ever liked the necks on.

I'm going to have to dig one up and see how they feel... I know many players prefer them... Although, I'm not sure Clapton may like them anymore with his hand issues...
