Wednesday morning at 3:51 am PST, my time.
Going to bring my camera and tripod to work, and try to get some pics.

The small star seen in the animation is Uranus.

Rats! Too many clouds!
You got that right.
In the three story building I am in here at work I went to the roof top around 3:35 am.
No moon, not even a hint of moonlight poking out from the clouds.

Now when my lead took me up there yesterday around 4:20 to show me how to get there, the moon was big and bright, but an hour later we got socked in with low clouds and fog.
Sun came out late yesterday.

What a bummer, put a freshly charged up battery in my Canon T5i and grabbed the tripod before heading out my door this morning.
Had it set on "Bulb" mode which is Canon's name for long exposures, and was hoping to get a good 10 minute one, and then several single shots of the moon changing to red.

Here is an old one I took in August of 2007 without a tripod, you can tell by the trails.
Sony Cybershot.

Here are a few from December of 2011 during an eclipse using a tripod out in front of my place at home.
You can see it starting to go red.
I was really hoping to get some high quality shots with my new camera this time.
