So in terms of the heavier stuff, how are the stock pickups on the S2 Cusom 24 (or 22)? The HFS Treble and Vintage Bass pickups? I like that they can be split as well.
I have 2 Les Pauls now, a vintage (technically) Gibson '85 Studio Custom a Epiphone LP Tribute. I've come to realize, price and aesthetics aside, I significantly prefer the Epiphone. It just sounds good, with the Gibson '57's in it, long neck tenon, etc. So that's my classic rock type guitar. Covers a lot of bases really. I might add a PRS more for a modern type tone. Heavier stuff, yes, but some classic stuff too, even blues as well. But primarily the heavier stuff. I have a CS Telecaster, and a good Strat too, plus a heavily modified Epi Sheraton.
I'd greatly prefer to not mod my PRS if possible. Will likely sell my Gibson to help fund the PRS, not sure of budget at this point.
