Real Filter'Trons have a different mount. However, TV Jones makes a bunch of 'Tron style pickups in a variety of mounting styles including humbucker mount.

I have a singlecut that came with Filtertron clones (GFS Retrotrons)
but to me it sounded cheap
I replaced them with a set of SD Pearly Gates
And the guitar now sounds amazing

I can see why you say that, you fat fingered blues player! ;-)

But it might have sounded cheap because of the cheap GFS PUs.

I for one kind of like that sound, but it is not PRSish, alhough a Starla definately is the ballpark, so who is to say it does not work well? I like mine.

Lollar also makes their LollarTron humbuckers, which are a drop-in replacement for standard humbuckers.

I'll grant the GFS pickups are cheap
But I have played a Gretsch Paisley Penguin with TV Jones PUs
Gorgeous guitar but I didnt care for them either

In the end though it's your guitar
and if I have learned anything its everyone has a different idea of what their perfect tone is
