I inherited this table my father converted years ago. I believe the originals were relatively ordinary walnut panels before he inserted these four book matched crotch claro walnut panels. These panels are solid pieces; not veneer. It’s difficult to dry feathercrotch walnut without it checking badly. Would make a pretty guitar.

WOW! Absolutely beautiful. I can't believe how well the book matching lines up.
 
I had a Kronbauer Sinker Claro and a Turner Compass Rose that was Claro. Great stuff.
