Just picked up this beauty,
Howard Leese Golden Eagle #9

Review after 3 months.
Every time I pick it up it just gets better. The neck shape, radius, fret size, scale length.
Perfect in every way. Intonation is spot on up the entire neck. No dead spots.

The neck pickup is not a hot as the bridge, in a good way. Like the woman tone of a good Les Paul.
The bridge pickup is much hotter like a good old PAF.

At first I thought the electronics could be more versatile. The 3 way switch with no coil tap etc..
But the simplicity of the control layout fits the guitar. I won't change a thing.

Its definitely a keeper. I had a private stock, PS179 back in 2002. Went through the entire build process, flew to the factory, picked out the wood, had a factory tour with Joe Knaggs. It was a great experience. I foolishly sold it and regretted it ever since.
