New guitar issue

I’m having issues with the push pull tone knob. Sometimes when playing or practicing the guitar will not play through the amp and I only hear the strings. I’ve noticed that the tone knob cuts in and out or I can tap the knob and it starts playing again. Should I take it back to where I bought it or send it in?
I’ve checked all the solder joints inside and have found nothing wrong so I’m assuming it a bad knob that needs replacing. I’ve had it now about two weeks and really loving it and not wanting the down time without it.
