I think he’s talking about the trem cover. The Ibanez Pia has one To facilitate string changes/adjustments

Yes, this exactly.

I dont see why not. But with the PIA i believe the cover cutaway on the body has the magnetic strip so you will need to put in a magnetic strip for the cover to work. You could also just.. not use the cover altogether.
