Are you asking the difference between a PS speced in house and then picked up by a dealer and a PS built to your own (or even dealer) specs?
Build quality is the same, namely excellent. If it is what you happen to want, there isn't really any difference from a buld to order and you get it right now.

Yeah, you're not losing anything besides the experience of choosing what you want. So if there's one out there, skip the wait if the experience part of it isn't a big deal. I feel it's worth it.
