Tone Matters. Use It Well.
Understandably, many of us have players' guitars that could use some TLC with ding and finish repair.
Was wondering if any of you have sought out the advice of the PTC and requested some finish color if perhaps you own a solid color guitar, with a clear coat for sealing the finish?
I recently purchased something similar for touching up my car's finish, but will wait until later this year to do the job.
Realizing that this is mostly about a cosmetic problem rather than a tone one, would this pose a real concern for younger players who might need to do the repair work themselves, and if so, are there any DIY videos on 3rd party websites that could enlighten them before trying to do the work?
(My thought was to acquire some finish color and use some lemon oil as part of a polishing routine.)
