Loving nature’s wonders
Every time I hear this I want to stick my finger through my eye, into my brain and swirl it around -
Only difference with me is I would stick fingers in ears, into my brain and swirl it around to stop the sound! Not that I like looking at what i see as a fairly lifeless delivery ;~))Every time I hear this I want to stick my finger through my eye, into my brain and swirl it around -
That reminded me of one I have always hated (at least the chorus). Ponder this for a moment if you will:Some more Bad lyrics
Baby, when I think about you
I think about love
Darlin', don't live without you
And your love
If I had those golden dreams
Of my yesterday (yesterday)
I would wrap you in the heaven
'Til I'm dyin' (dyin', dyin')
On the way
These guys were far better in their previous incarnation of Sir Timothy and the Royals. I saw them a number of times at the local dance hall, Valley Dale. There are dozens from the Bubble Gum Rock era in the 60s. Anything by 1910 Fruit Gum Company. But there were so many. How about this?:
No argument here…You want bad lyrics? Theres hundreds of rap songs that qualify fo dat. Close you eyes and pick one.

They certainly spent extra for someone to come up with that arrangement.
Perhaps someone felt there needed to be a balance for the Rolling Stones. When I first got into the ad scoring biz (1991) I was told by a friend that the owner of one of the big jingle companies in NYC was the source of those songs. Sure sounds like the commercials of that era, doesn't it?
Come on now…My Ding-A-Ling - Chuck Berry (1972)
funny, cute, even a jokeCome on now…
That’s a classic…
Packed with useful wisdom…
What a f8cking great tune."David Bowie" by Phish (that sounds weird) nails it with this compelling lyric sheet:
David Bowie, David Bowie
David Bowie, David Bowie
David Bowie, David Bowie
David Bowie, David Bowie
UB40, UB40
UB40, UB40
UB40, UB40
UB40, UB40
That said, I do enjoy the song, and I initially chuckle whenever I hear it before getting lost in it's musical journey!
I probably have several hundred that I have written (or maybe all) where naysayers would call them bad lyrics, but IDGAF ;~))
That was my favorite song to play on the jukebox when I was a kid! Still love it to this day!! In large part, because it makes me laugh ;~)) When I laugh, I call that good (but that is just me and to each his own)!!!funny, cute, even a joke
but it still fits the topic
Bad lyrics
I cringe every time I hear it
and I am a huge Chuck Berry Fan
but that song is like nails on a chalk board to me
