Sad to see, apparently Al DiMeola had a heart attack on stage in Bucharest, Romania on Sep 27, 2023! He is apparently in stable condition ;~))

I follow him on Instagram and he posted that he had a “health issue” that was going to make him have to stop touring for a while, but that he was receiving great care, doing ok, etc. I wondered what it was. I sure hope he’s OK. He is one of my original guitar heros!

Al has always been an intense guy , at 69 he doesn't want to slow down .. however nature has a way of enforcing that for those of us in that age group. I hope and pray he gets back on his feet and feeling great soon . I've had a couple , they aren't much fun and really make you tired .

I'm not saying this isn't a big deal, but the technology and modern medical methods these days are amazing. I'm betting he will be back at it relatively soon. I hope so anyway.
