Yes, I saw that the classic tuners that come on the S2 McCarty 245 are on the PRS page but they are not locking as Shawn mentioned. Was hoping to see them as locking but no dice for now I guess.
I am within driving distance of Mannmade USA in Bedford NH who does modifications to make the...
I swear by these although they are definitely less user friendly at first and take some getting used to. I broke some E strings at first and almost swore them off too.
andy474x's explanation above is absolutely dead on, follow it to the letter and you’ll be fine. I found that using a short...
Looking for a recommendation on a hard case for my 2020 S2 McCarty 594. This is the regular doublecut, not the thinline or singlecut.
Does the PRS Multi-fit case work with this guitar.
Thanks!
No clue...to be honest these are the SE guitars so realistically none of the guitar us US built so the question of where the tuners were built did not even really cross my mind. I was mostly worried about the fit which was perfect. I hate seeing a head stock with extra holes drilled into it...
Have one and love it. Smaller body is more comfortable and the neck almost feels like an electric guitar neck. Very playable. Not super loud on its own. If it broke, I’d cry and then start the search for a new one immediately.
Does the S2 McCarty 594 Doublecut (the regular one, not the Thinline or Singlecut) fit with the PRS Multi-Fit case? PRS website states that the Core does but no mention of the S2.
Just want to make sure, If not any other recommendations?
Thanks.
All that said, you could just the the SE locking tuners directly from PRS:

Can't find the box or receipt but...
I'm 99.9999% sure it was these ones:

The locking mechanism is completely internal, visually you...
No, they were not the top locking ones. Id have to look up the exact part numbers, I think they were 406C but dont quote me, perfect drop in replacements on an SE EG, 245, and an SE Al15 acoustic.
"The Kluson Revolutions look nice but are a little more expensive."
Yes, there were the units that 1st really caught my eye as a potential solution here.
Which leads to more questions of course...
Collared vs Non-Collared?
I am assuming I need non-Collared ones? Collared appears to have...
I just picked up a new 2020 S2 McCarty 594 which so far I love. I've been spoiled for years by having locking tuners on all of my SE guitars. Whenever I bought a new one I would just automatically also get a set of the Grover Mini-Rotomatics...even on an Angelus acoustic. I would not even...
That came out nice.
I've added the Grover Mini-Rotomatics on 3 SE's including an acoustic. All were 100% plug and play, all holes lined up perfectly and I've never had any issues with them.
