How’s the hum though? That’s the only part of having single coils that drives me nuts. I don’t want to be limited to the bridge pickup when I apply copious amounts of gain. Do you run a noise gate with yours? If so does it kill a lot of your sustain?

So I was wanting to try one of these since I favor hardtails over trems, but I have been unable to find any. When I searched prs website, it no longer appears in their catalogue. Since they released the se version, have the discontinued the s2 version?

I checked out some content on YouTube and they actually sounded really good. I may give them a shot. Just out of curiosity, what would the addition of a maple cap play into the sound of the pickups?
