I had a 2019 594 with 85/15 pickups that I never quite bonded with and ended up selling. I now have a 2016 594 with 58/15s - I like those better than the 85/15, but still not sure I LOVE them. I have a Zach Myers SE that I put a Gibson Burstbucker 1 & 2 set in and (at mid-to-high gain settings)...
Good morning! I'm looking at a used SE Starla Stoptail tomorrow that I will most likely purchase and am looking into locking tuners for it. I am aware of the PRS SE locking tuners but am considering those as somewhat of a last resort, as I have preferences for other brands.
I have Gotoh locking...
I think I'm with you on this but am not totally sure yet. I had a 2019 McCarty 594 that had 85/15 pickups that I eventually sold. I have a Zach Myers signature with Gibson Burstbucker 1&2s and I preferred the sound of that guitar. Not only that, but when I engaged the coil split on the 85/15s I...
For what it's worth I have two Zach Myers SEs and on both of them I replaced the adjustable bridge with the one you have on that guitar. If you like it, leave it.
I belong to a Fb group where a guy was complaining of the same issue w/this same guitar. He got an email back from PRS stating that in this guitar, the pickups are NOT grounded by design. The email states:

They're such great guitars, especially for the price (the Trampas Green is a 2017, back when they were only $679 USD). As I mentioned I've got a 2019 McCarty 594 and I actually prefer these (I'm considering trading the McCarty in for a Fender Jazz Strat).
For what it's worth I have two Zach Myers signature SEs, (both of which are from World Musical Instruments in Korea rather than Cor-Tek) and the build quality, fit and finsh, etc, on both are tremendous. My favorite guitar I've played. I also have a 2019 McCarty 594 and the Myers SEs (with...
If you end up going down that rabbit hole... I have a Squier Classic Vibe 50's Strat in which I installed a Seymour Duncan Billy Gibbons Red Devil in the bridge and I love it. Still sounds Strat-y in my opinion, but a little thicker than a typical single-coil.
