    Gen III (Locking) Tremolo Aftermarket?

It’s a very elegant solution. I tend not to use my trem because I’m heavy handed / aggressive and I will put it out of tune. Nothing a dip of the bar cant sort but there’s always that doubt/building it into your playing style etc. PRS does tend to reserve the best/new features for PS at first...

PRS Tremonti: Fixed vs Tremolo Bridge

My Tremonti core is great. Stable neck and rarely needs tuning but on mine the trem does cause it to detune slightly under string bending (g string is the worst). It's not an issue though. A simple dip of the bar brings it back into tune.. I think most players, after a while, learn to do this...

Maple Necks on Mahogany Bodies : Tone?

Suhr's comments were probably related to 25.5" guitars - he's often stated that even mahogany doesn't sound like what people expect it to when comparing to shorter scale lengths (harder tone etc). Of the PRS I've tried I definitely preferred the mahogany neck over maple. Just more what I am...

    PRS Santana 2016 BG NGD

Nice to see some Opeth references here. They get great sounds from their Custom 24s and singlecuts. I bet the Santanas work well for that.

    Private Stock Friday

I hate this thread... :)... I'd love to say the a PRS PS is all marketing but my PS 245 is still the loudest, most musical guitar I own. Can't wait to be in a position to order another. The quality of the tops and finishing is really exceptional lately.

    PRS Santana 2016 BG NGD

Great guitars, the Santana model is pretty rare in the U.K. - you may find one at a dealer if your're lucky. Guess they're not that popular compared to the customs and 594 (which is selling crazy well here). What sort of music do you play on them?

The Official "McCarty 594" Love Thread!!

I played three 594s today. For me they were the best sounding, and playing, PRSs I've played in a long time. Amazing job PRS have done, the feel is fantastic.

    Regular production McCarty 594?

PRS has had been in a high innovation period lately. The new locking saddles looks like a really great design and elegant solution, I really hope they cascade down to the core range at some point (even as a chargeable option). New finishes were introduced and the newer pickups sound really good...

Wow, killer. The SC245 is one of my favourite guitars, suits the black cherry glow perfectly.

Private Stock Build - Joining The Brotherhood

That top is great. Thinking about visiting the US and PRS for a 40th birthday treat in a couple of years... Already thinking about PS specs.

Stainless Steel Frets on a PRS

Fair point! it's probably driven by accessibility to Suhr products and the fact that even their 'cheaper' models come standard with SS frets.

Stainless Steel Frets on a PRS

I have two Suhrs, one with SS and one with standard frets. I definitely prefer SS - they just do not wear to the same degree as nickel and feel like new even after 8 years of heavy play. I have a 3rd Suhr currently on order with jumbo SS. I have to admit though that my 2009 PS and 2011 Tremonti...
