    NGD CE-24 Semi-Hollow

My thoughts so far are that its a very lively guitar. Very resonant and bright acoustically. What I'm really enjoying is how well the pickups react to changes with the volume and tone knobs. I'm not finding anywhere on the knobs where I turn a couple spots and it still sounds the same. You...

    NGD CE-24 Semi-Hollow

Honestly, I got lucky on the nice top. I had been looking for a CE-24 Semi-Hollow for a while and I saw one on the Guitar Center Used site at a good price and I took a chance. So I saw this online: And this is what arrived:

    NGD CE-24 Semi-Hollow

This is a 2020 CE-24 Semi-Hollow that I picked up recently. Really amazing guitar. This is my first experience with the 85/15 pickups and I'm liking them. Very versatile and lots of clarity as others have said.

    Is this normal?

My standard answer for the question of "how many guitars do you have?" is: more than I need, but not as many as I want. The other classic question is "how many guitars do you want" and the answer I like is: just one more.

    Is this normal?

I really like the look of the S2 Singlecut Standard. But I think I'll be set with the Mira and Vela for a while. I hope.

    Is this normal?

Last year I bought my first PRS, a CE22. Just a great guitar. Then about two months ago I came across a used S2 Mira and was thoroughly impressed. I even liked it better than the CE22. I bought it without even thinking much about it. I liked it that much. Then, because I like the S2 Mira...

    NGD - 2019 S2 Mira

I just picked up a used S2 Mira and I’m amazed at how good it is. I haven’t touched another guitar in a week. I’m now thinking I might need another S2 guitar. I also have a CE22 and I prefer the Mira. Just fits my tastes I guess. I’m glad you’re enjoying your new guitar.

    Guidance for a PRS Newbie

Yes it's a maple top version. From the photos it's in very good condition with one decent ding on the left side but I won't have my hands on it until next week. What can I expect from the dragon II pickups?

    Guidance for a PRS Newbie

As a follow up, I decided to go with a CE22. I bought one on reverb at what I thought was a good price (1150) and it should be here next week. It's a 2005 model, black cherry, dragon II's, trem, etc. Can't wait. Thank you to everyone who helped with their knowledge and experience.

    Guidance for a PRS Newbie

What would be a reasonable price? The SAS I've been able to play has a maple fretboard and a ton of playing wear on it, which I normally wouldn't mind, but I think this one has had the frets dressed a couple times and are now too low. It also seemed very overpriced compared to what I've seen...

    Guidance for a PRS Newbie

Thank you for the replies, this helps. I've read that some people don't like the older PRS pickups, whether they're Dragon I's, II's, McCarty's, etc. but I'm fine with swapping pickups if I need to. As long as I can find a great guitar. As for the Narrowfield pups I think I'd prefer the...

Right, I need to consider the CE24 as well. I want to stick with the bolt-on maple neck models. Any comparisons between the CE models and the SAS?

    Guidance for a PRS Newbie

Thanks but I like to broaden the pallet a bit so I'm not looking for PRS single coils. But I don't want to quite go into full mahogany/humbucker territory either. My thinking was the SAS and CE22 would be a bit brighter versions of the humbucker based PRS guitars so would be a good fit. I...
