Thanks for the reply. I bought the guitar used in mint condition. I think the previous owner told me he put pure nickel strings on the guitar. The Strat I have does have pure nickel’s on them. I want something that is not too dark on this SE Hollowbody.
I would imagine with the SE Hollowbody Standard being all mahogany. The nickel plated steels might be better in balancing out the tone. Pure nickel strings would make the sound too warm…right?
Trying to decide what to put on this PRS SE Hollowbody Standard. Pure Nickel or Nickel plated steel strings. I’m taking it to get setup. I’m going to be going with 9.5 to 44 gauge strings. Thanks in advance for the help.
No worries. I didn’t think that good of deal was going to come together that quick. I’ll try and figure out how to post pictures when I get the guitar and amp. They will go along with my four other PRS guitars.
Sorry guys. Thanks for responding. This was a short runway timeframe for the purchase. I will say based on the times I have posted on this site. The people here are so generous with info and it is appreciated.
Well. I decided not to wait and pulled the trigger on an MT15 and a SE Tremonti Custom. I figure it will be a good combination. The package deal was too good to pass up.
Hi everyone. I don’t post here much. I have a line on a used 5150 Stealth 50w. I’m also looking at a new MT-15. What do you all recommend in terms of which way to go here? Stealth or MT-15? The price difference is about $300 more to go with the 5150 Stealth. My wife is giving me the go ahead...
