    Wiring for 85/15 S -> DiMarzio in a Custom 24

    Ok, job done. The wiring ended up being as described above. These DiMarzio Illuminator pickups really bring this guitar to the next level. They sound phenomenal.

    Wiring for 85/15 S -> DiMarzio in a Custom 24

    I think what I wrote above might be correct, here it is updated with the DiMarzio colors: Black + White => push/pull terminals Green + bare => ground Red => switch

    Wiring for 85/15 S -> DiMarzio in a Custom 24

    To get the ball rolling... North Finish + South Finish wires to each terminals on the push/pull ground + South Start to ground (pot casing) North Start to switch Or is that completely wrong?

    Wiring for 85/15 S -> DiMarzio in a Custom 24

    I hate to create a thread about this, as I'm sure it's been asked many times but I couldn't find a exact answer. I want to install 2 DiMarzio pickups in my 2024 SE Custom 24 Quilt. Is the a diagram floating around somewhere on which wires go where, or at the very least a conversion chart for...

    NGD - SE Custom 24 Quilt (new to PRS, new to these forums)

    Good point, I hadn't noticed that. Upon closer inspection, it does appear that the block is just a hair off the plate. Next time I change the strings, I'll take the block to the drill press and make some receses. No big deal though, the guitar sounds good as is for now. Thanks for pointing...

    Instantly want more PRS guitars...

    > Guitars [PRS= 15, G=1 , F=4, Others=8 ]; Amps [PRS=5 , others=3] Point taken lol I hope to try out an Archon 50 one day, they seem like a really solid amp.

    NGD - SE Custom 24 Quilt (new to PRS, new to these forums)

    Got the Seymour Duncan JB in, brass block and the PRS locking tuners along with brand new D'addario XS strings (9-42). Unfortunately, the SD 59 I got is a 2 conductor, so I'm gonna have to return it and exchange it for the 4 conductor version. But I still get to try out the JB in the bridge so...

    That's awesome! I think 2024 is gonna look a little bit like this!

    Instantly want more PRS guitars...

    yeah, I mean, I already don't like my LP (Too heavy, and too butt-heavy - basically can't play it sitting down), so it's not like I'd be selling it on a whim just because I want a 594.

    Instantly want more PRS guitars...

    So since I got my 2024 SE Custom 24 Quilt I've been really wanting more models. I currently have a Gibson Les Paul 60s that I have for sale, and I also have a Fender Am Pro Strat that has needs some fret work. At this point, I'm REALLY tempted to get a 594 once the LP sells, and I'm...

    SE Swamp Ash Special Nut Quality

    Given the answer I got from customer service regarding the SE nut material, I'm inclined to believe that some thought went into it and that it's not just any old plastic nut. Also, if there's no tuning stability issue, it's probably fine to leave it, even though it's not that expensive to...

    Just curious this forum's opinion of tone wood on electrics.

    Check out all the Warmoth wood shoot out videos on YouTube to get a sense of what changes you can expect from different woods. Usually very subtle. I will say, typically I notice a difference in the total package, the guitar as a whole compared to others of the same model. I've definitely...

    SE Swamp Ash Special Nut Quality

    Cool. Makes sense. I just received the Musiclily brass block today. I know it's supposed to be an inferior product to the Mann, but it is a big mass of brass so hopefully it does the job. I can't imagine this guitar feeling more lively than it already does. I'm already so impressed by this...

    Would you unblock the trem once you do the Mann bridge upgrade? Report back if you change the nut! I haven't had any tuning issues so far with mine and I keep the bridge floating.

    Which brass block are you going for? And just the block, no saddles? I just ordered the Musiclily brass block myself, I'm gonna stick with the original saddles for now, they seem fine. Which locking tuners you going for? I just ordered the PRS SE locking tuners. Amazing looking guitar, love...
