    2 Channel H Noises???

The same thing happened with my PRS "30" combo after 6 months of enjoying its glorious tones. All of a sudden it began to make a frying bacon sound and then it just died and heavy smoke came out and stunk up the room. I shipped it back to Guitar Rez in Austin, that's where I had bought it, and...

What is your favorite go to PRS amp when you play gigs and why?

I've been thinking of using a 212 cab with my PRS "30" combo, but then, it will not be light and as easy to transport. Grab-n-Go is one of my favorite things about the "30".

Don't like the Reverb on my PRS 30 Combo!

I have put a Mr. Springgy pedal in front of the "30" and have gotten better reverb results. But I like your recommendation of sending it back to Doug to have a loop put in it. Thanks.

Don't like the Reverb on my PRS 30 Combo!

I understand what you mean and definitely everybody hears with their own ears, but, the reverd on the "30" just gets buried and lost if you turn the amp's volume up. Even if you dime the reverb, it still gets lost at high volumes. It is okay when I practice at home, but, it is practically...

Don't like the Reverb on my PRS 30 Combo!

I guess what I'm saying is that for the money it costs to buy a PRS "30" combo, they should have put a better reverb unit in it! Everything else is great and it's built like a tank!

What is your favorite go to PRS amp when you play gigs and why?

Mine is the PRS "30" combo. It's light & easy to transport, quick to dial in and the tones I get are sweet whether I use single coils, P-90s or HB loaded guitars. It's just the perfect plug-n-play amp and I can cover basically any genre of music excluding metal. And the truth also is, that it's...

    A day in PRS heaven......Part 3

Wow, I enjoyed the videos. Very entertaining and informative, plus, needless to say "great playing"! Just raised my level of gas for another PRS weapon! I knew I shouldn't have watched them all in one sitting, sigh!!!!!

Don't like the Reverb on my PRS 30 Combo!

I love the amp, but, the reverb just seems to get lost, especially, as you turn the volume up. Has anyone changed out the reverb tank on your PRS amp or use a reverb pedal instead? This would be my only recommendation and that is to put a better reverb tank on an otherwise fabulous amp.

Connecting a 212 8ohm external cab to my PRS 30 Combo?

Thank you Ampguy and docbennett for your replies. That makes sense! I think I was confusing myself, but, I wanted to make sure I had it right. And yes, the internal speaker of my combo is rated at 8 0hms. Again, thank you guys, your guidance was much appreciated.

Connecting a 212 8ohm external cab to my PRS 30 Combo?

In reading my question again, I realized it's to confusing and maybe that's why no one has replied. Please allow me to rephrase it. "If I plug an 8ohm external cab to my PRS 30 Combo's external speaker output, do I put the ohm switch in the back of the amp on 4ohms or 16ohms? Thanks.

Connecting a 212 8ohm external cab to my PRS 30 Combo?

If I connect an external cab (212 8 ohms) to my PRS 30 Combo from the external speaker jack on the amp, will it defeat (disconnect) the combo's internal speaker? Does anybody know for sure because if it does, then, I can leave the switch at 8ohms on the back of the amp. But if it doesn't, then...

    Is my PRS 30 broken?

siliconj, I'm curious to know if you found out what the problem was with your PRS 30 combo. Did you fix it and was it the pre-amp tubes?
