Agreed. I have many types of amps, mesa , diezel, bogner, ect... but a cranked recording amp or 25th anniversary has balls and mojo that dont quit...lol

I have all 3 versions and pauls amp, which is a glorified mtd, the one with mid control and the boost/ cut switch dont quite have the, for lack of better term, organic, open sound of the first series, they get muddy quick, basicly lows on like 2 or 3 tops, set the controls like an old marshall.

Thats where the powerstation came in, it has an effects loop

Totally agree, i have a custom 50 combo and a custom 100 head, the 50 is a freakin monster, holds its own aling side boogies, bogners and diezels, awesome cleans, great reverb and effects loop, you really can't beat them. I f you can get it back, by all means!

Get a powerstation, its been a real eye opener for me

I I wasnt sold either until i got it home...

At first, without the powerstation, it was WAY too loud to sit with and play, when its tamed abit and you can crank it, it rivals the archon, like a more raw throaty tone, but sounds huge , it shocked me when opened up, as much gain as my bogner shiva, but honestly, in some ways has a nicer...
