Hello! I'm new to PRS guitars and just ordered my first, an SE Custom 24-08 in Faded Blue from Sweetwater. However, I noticed they also have a Sweetwater exclusive "Faded Blue Burst" option for an extra $50 with what looks like a quilted top (what!?) and a matching headstock. I called Sweetwater and they said this option will not be in stock until August. The regular faded blue finish will be in next month.
Could an exclusive offering with a top like that and painted headstock become highly collectible? Not that I will want to sell it anytime soon], but it would be nice to know if I'm investing in something that would not only retain its value but potentially increase.
