PTC Shipping Kit

I have a question about the pre-paid UPS shipping label that comes with the PTC Shipping kit. Is insurance coverage against shipping damage included? This will make all the difference to me in deciding to use the kit or ship the guitar myself.

Also when I do ship my guitar, should I be de-tuning the strings first or should I leave the guitar tuned?

The shipping kit is the way to go!! It is insured and no you don't have to de-tune the strings
