Noob Question - Is it possible to have independent coil splits on an SE Standard?

I just got my first PRS today, and I was wondering if it would be possible to swap the volume pot for a push-pull, and have separate controls for coil splitting (like on the Paul's guitar).
Would it suffice to transplant the neck pickup's split wire to the new pot?
