Hey everyone! Just took into the family a beautiful 2009 CU22 in McCarty Sunburst! At some point in its life someone put McCarty pickups in it which score in my opinion. I also asked PRS support about the details on the serial number because it didn’t come with a hang tag. Here’s what they had to say.

Serial# 09 151527 is consistent with a 2009
Custom 22, with a Flame Maple top,
Mahogany neck with a Wide-Fat profile, East
Indian Rosewood fretboard with bird inlays,
Straight stoptail bridge, \m/ treble and bass
pickups, finished in McCarty Sunburst, with
nickel hardware.

Beautiful guitar! Metal pickups came out sometime around 2013. According to the MODCAT, the original pickups were Starla.
Very interesting! I wonder why the PRS rep said it came with Metal pickups originally.
