I mentioned in another thread I thought the Se standard was the best guitar value But now that I think about it I guess I agree with Sergio. Really great guitar !

I have the 22 fret version of this guitar same finish, dots etc....absolutely incredible instrument, how they dont sell tons and tons of them is beyond me?? Bryan really makes it sing as well!

Mmm, S2 Standards are hard to beat. I’d like to try one with the newer 58/15 pickups, I think switching to those on the Standards was a great call.

I’m of two minds for Core Standards. On one hand, from a wood, carve, and build perspective, I don’t know if there would be much gained by doing the full Core thing. The bevel carve suits them fine (IMO) and assuming the woods are dried the same, what is there to improve? But, gimme an S2 Standard with Core electronics and bridge... whoa, I’m so in.

On the other hand, I’d be very tempted by a Core DGT, 594, Paul’s Standard, assuming it cut a nice chunk off the price from a maple top model.

I put a 59/09 bridge pickup and MannMade trem in my S2 Satin 22... hot damn. Spend more if you want, but that thing is unbeatable.
