New SE McCarty 594 seems to be missing a washer / backing nut on one of its split-tone knobs

Any idea what size nut/washer it uses for the tone pot?

did you open up the control cavity and see if there is a nut inside that you can just adjust to lower down the pot? I assume that is what you are talking about here.

There was only a locking nut inside, I managed to fix the issue by putting 3 more washers under it. I tried a nut but it was too thick and the top nut couldn't screw in
