My name is Aaron and I own two wonderful PRSi that I will never sell. One is a 1995 Standard 24 Goldtop with a maple top. The other is a 2005 Standard 24 Platinum Metallic.
I'm in the process of flipping some other instruments that are just sitting to purchase another PRS for a new project. Rather than start a super diverse PRS collection, I'm thinking that I may just want to collect 24 fret metallics to continue with my theme going on. There's something about the metallic finishes that I find super sexy. They show off the body curves better than some flame tops IMO.
Is there any list where all these metallic finishes have been written down and examples have been given? I've done a load of searching, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive resource. I've seen the Bud Davis metal finishes and I've seen ones that may or may not be factory. Just want to start digging and finding those unicorns!
