It's always sad when you have to let one go...

What was the last PRS you had to let go of, in order to take it up a notch with another PRS?

I’m not sure I took it up a notch, but the last one I let go was a 2015 McCarty WL that I traded in on a 594 WL. They were different enough that I shouldn’t have let the McCarty go. I should have kept it and bought the 594 anyway, but the “guilties” got me, and I figured trading it in would appease my wife.

Turns out, she didn’t care. I could’ve kept it. This is why I’m a doofus!

This is why I’ve resolved, firmly (!) not to let another one go!! As we learned in 1938, Appeasement never works anyway.

I’ve let 3 PRS guitars go over the past 3 years. It’s hard. In particular, I thought I’d never part with the DC3... it was beautiful and it felt so good, but I had to let it go to acquire 2 ‘vintagey’ non-PRS guitars that spoke to me/yelled at me at the guitar shop.

It’s all good though. I kept my 3 all-time favorite PRS guitars and I honestly can’t see myself ever moving them on.

Due to a bad back, I traded this killer fiddle in (weighed over 9lbs)

To do my first PS build (weighs just under 8lbs)

I've moved a few on, no PRS's so far. That could change though.
I have never regretted losing any guitar, so far!

There are 7 working guitars that I will not part with. One of these is a Korean SE.
