I just snagged an 02 McCarty and love the tone of the neck pickup and it measures 8.0K which seems to be correct from what I've read however the bridge pickup is pretty hot and mid heavy, it measures 12K. From what I've read that's more like a Santana pickup.(?) the pickups are supposed to be stock. What's up?

Those specs match up to the set of Dragon II pickups. Those were standard on the CU22 of the day.
You're sure it's a McCarty? I've sometimes seen them advertised as a CU22 or vise versa. Or could be someone swapped pickups. Or it could've been a special order like that.
