NGD ('14 SE ZM) & first family pic...

That's the first S2 SC I've seen that isn't a stock photo. Looks great. Haven't seen one at all in any shop on the UK. Disappointing to be honest.

Here's some shots of the S2 SC from different angles...

Love it. Great family photo, natural sunlight really makes the guitars look spectacular!

It's got a great top on it for a S2. The Customs that I've seen can be quite hit and miss.

Well, my Zach arrived yesterday. I'm stunned at the quality and playability of it (especially for the money). Haven't had a lot of time to spend with it yet but I will over the weekend. My first impression is it seems a tad bright. I had intended (before I even got it) to replace the pups but I may hold off a bit......

Hi Atreyu, I'm curious about the S2 SC. I played an S2 Starla yesterday at my local Sam Ash store because they still don't have the SC, I'm not very fond of the Starla pickups, but wanted to get a feel on the guitar shape and I loved the S2 neck, and overall playability. And it was so light! (Compared to my LP standard).

Do you know if they have the same body? The Starla and the Singlecut (Obviously apart from the SC's maple top), but are they the same thickness? Same feel? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

citson ... They do NOT have the same body contour bevel OR body thickness. The Singlecut is thicker (think SE 245 thick) and looking at both side by side, they have a slightly different top bevel contour.

As for weight, hard to gauge. Sweetwater's instock list of S2 Starla's, and they go from 7lbs 6oz to 8lbs 6oz, and the lone S2 Singlecut they have is 7lbs 11oz. There's also real nice S2 Singlecut on eBay with McCarty Tobacco Sunburst finish, and its 7lbs 9oz. So they weigh about the same.

Awesome thanks for the info! I'm waiting on a Dark Cherry Sunburst to be in stock somewhere so I can try it out. I'm starting to save for one of those.
