what coils are active when tapped with the red wire at 5909s?
i've been astonished when i saw a schematic that showed at treb black as hot,
at bass white was hot.
imho this would only make sense to avoid hum in splitted middle position.
i had soldered both blacks as hot and it is ok!!!

any opinions or ideas?

edit:
oh, sorry - i had to add that it was ment with push/pull and toggle.

No, I believe that is so you don't go out of phase when both pickups are on, concurrently.

Of course, some people prefer the power-out-of-phase tone. It's the P.O.O.P.!

I can't get to the link from work, but I'll add more to this when I get home tonight.

that's interesting.
as i use the splitted middle pos for cleans, in phase seems to be better.

OK, here's what I use for those pups, a 3-way toggle, and a push/pull tone pot.
