2004 Swamp Ash Special? To buy or not to buy, that is the question!

Ok so I just found this on my local craigslist.
Apparently its been gigged a lot but he says its still in excellent condition.
Quite intrigued by the pups arrangement and tonality thats possible with it.
Thoughts and experiences from the "wise ones" here?

I have one. Buy it. It doesn’t sound like any other guitar I’ve ever played. It’ll take a little time to figure out the settings and get the pickup height right, but when you do, they’re fantastic gig guitars.

I guess I need to decide how badly I want/ need it.
I was not really in the market for another guitar having managed to cut down the herd selling two Teles, a Yamaha and a Tokai V in the last couple weeks.
Which made up partially for my two eBay impulse purchases last week
Seller is asking $1650.
Includes original hard case and the paperwork as shown.

Well I don't actually have a red guitar any longer after selling the Tokai V which was classic 80's Kitsch Red Metalflake Sparkle!
But then it still aint green....
